Butterfly with strawberries

Important rules before cook

  • All of our recipes are amazing meals made with simple ingredients. To do so you must cook with parental help and supervision.
  • The use of a stove, oven and a knife should be done by your parents especially for children under 10 years. So, never ever start a recipe alone or without an adult supervision.
  • Before cooking it is important to pay attention to hygiene, so wash your hands properly.
  • Be careful when you cut food and wash carefully all the vegetables.
  • Never wash meat because this will cause bacteria to spread, so don't worry, the application of high temperature will remove these bacteria effectively.
  • While you are cooking is a good habit to keep everything clean and tidy. In our kitchen even if our chefs are messy and creative, they also want everything to be cleaned before starting to eat.
  • When you are trying to cook a meal, for each step, try to clean all the dirty dishes and the kitchen counter.
  • For the best results collect all the ingredients as directed in the recipe, and following instructions on the website.

Now you know the basic roles of our Messy Kitchen, let's cook!

What you need

1 Egg

125g Milk

50 g Flour

30g Dark Chocolate

Strawberries and blackberries

1 Banana
1 Kiwi

Let's make it

Step 1

On medium to low temperature, fill a small pot with water and add the glass with the dark chocolate inside for approximately 5 minutes. This method, to melt chocolate, is called "bain-marie".

Step 2

whisk the egg in a bowl.

Step 3

Add the flour to the egg already whisked and mix together.

Step 4

Now, it's time to add the milk. With a kitchen whisk, mix the dough until is smooth. Let batter sit at least 15 minutes in the fridge.

Step 5

Wash the fruits carefully and then slice the strawberries and kiwi. Do not slice the blackberries !

Step 6

After batter has set, you can start cooking your crepes. Use a big spoon to help yourself.

Step 7

Heat a 12-inch non-stick skillet over medium flame. Add a spoon of dough on the pan and cook until the underside of crepe is golden brown, or for approximately 1 to 2 minutes.

Step 8

Loosen edge of crepe with a rubber spatula, then with your fingertips, quickly flip. Cook for one more minute. Slide crepe out of skillet and repeat with remaining batter.

Step 9

In a plate place 4 round crepes, and cover them with the chocolate already melted. Then, add the banana in the middle.

Step 10

Use the sliced fruits to decorate the wings of your butterfly as shown in the picture, or feel free to be creative. Eyes are made by blackberry, the mouth by chocolate and the antennae by kiwi.
